Merry Christmas from Fetcham Park

When the house is decked in divine decorations ready for the festive season and the gardens and fountains start to freeze over with the first frosts, it’s easy to see why Fetcham Park was picked to be the perfect winter wedding venue in The Secret Quintessentially Guide! There seems to be an extra sprinkling of magic at this time of year, as our last couple of 2013 discovered with their nuptials on Saturday.

Fetcham Park 2013 Review_0005The past 12 months have been a rollercoaster of triumphs for the team here at Fetcham Park. We’ve been privileged to have hosted beautiful weddings that have all brought something new to the house and added an extra layer of narrative to Fetcham’s illustrious history. It has been humbling to work with so many exceptional suppliers throughout the year who have consistently delivered excellence on our behalf to our happy couples.

Fetcham has also been the backdrop for a number of editorial photo shoots, including Charlie Brear, Agnes and Norman and Asiana magazine. When the house hasn’t been in front of the camera, Laura has been dipping her toe into the waters of press coverage with features in The Times and the Guardian amongst others.

Fetcham Park 2013 Review_0003A lot of this has largely been due to the excitement surrounding Fetcham’s cameo appearance in the Diana movie, in which the ground floor rooms were transformed into the Imperial Suite of The Ritz for some of the pivotal scenes in the film. We were hugely proud to see Fetcham Park on the silver screen and hope that it won’t be the last time it gets a leading role!

Alongside this, Laura has been busy winning reader recognition awards for her contribution to the wedding industry and also speaking at inspirational events such as Paperfest to expound on how the ideologies in the Fetcham Park Difference makes a unique experience for our clients.

As if all this wasn’t enough, September also saw the launch of the beautiful new branding, website and online presence for Fetcham Park. Working with Hint Creative, Knight Studios and Simon Upton really was the feather in the cap for Fetcham Park’s 21st century transformation.

Fetcham Park 2013 Review_0002Last month we were also very proud to host two events for Disability Challengers, a charity that we have long supported.  Not only were we excited to welcome VIPs to the house, we were delighted that the events raised so much money for this brilliant cause and instead of sending Christmas cards we have made a donation to their fundraising so that they can continue their work in supporting local disabled children. We would also like to thank Sally Iddles Fabulous Food for catering these events and looking after our guests.

So as you can see 2013 has been a busy and brilliant year, but we’re not done yet. We’ll be leaping into the New Year with added gusto as we present to you The Fetcham Park Famous Five – your brand new team of wedding crack commandoes who are about to take wedding planning to a whole new level.  You’re going to want to come back on January 6th to find out who just became part of the Fetcham family…
