Laura Loves…Eddie Judd Photography: Part Two
Earlier this week, Laura introduced us to Eddie Judd, one of the super talented photographers who have a spot on Laura Loves, our incomparable list of the some of the most amazing wedding suppliers in the business.
Now it’s time to get to know Eddie a little better with a few words from the fabulous lady herself and some gorgeous images for us all to have a little swoon over.
Tell us a little more about the woman behind the camera and your passion for photography…
“I guess I became a photographer when I announced at 10 years old that that was what I wanted to be when I grew up. I think I received a chuckle in response and, well, that was it – I was out to prove them wrong! I think that says a lot about my passion for photography – I am always wanting to improve and I’m always looking for that perfect picture that is full of emotion and beauty. It will be a lifelong goal I am sure! I studied photography and after university I worked in selling pictures which gave me a great understanding for what people liked in an image and also some great customer service skills. I would say my signature style is emotive, pretty and elegant.”
What did you think of Fetcham Park the first time your saw it?
“The first time I saw Fetcham I loved it. I have always had an appreciation for architecture and history in buildings which I have inherited from my father and I knew there was so much to see. Every time I go, I like to ‘see’ something new. I also know a lot about the stories in the murals now which I am secretly proud about! It also has a great atmosphere – it has the look of a grand house but the feel of a cosy venue – I love that!”
Have you got a favourite spot at Fetcham Park?
“My favourite part of the house has to be the Salon – I could photograph the chandelier and the blue skies, larks and cherubs on the ceiling all day!”
What are the iconic shots every Fetcham couple should have?
“I think there are so many parts of Fetcham Park that brides and grooms can use as backdrops for photographs – the frescos, the fountains and the gardens but I think a picture on the stairs and one outside with the red brick in the background are particularly iconic.”
Any top tips for couples considering their wedding photography?
“It’s imperative to like your photographer’s style and feel confident that they are going to do a great job. Get to know your photographer, make sure you’re happy for them to be around you, your family and your guests on your wedding day. This is why I include an engagement shoot in my packages – it’s a great chance for us to chat through the running of the day and also to feel comfortable with me and my camera.”
Many thanks to Eddie for the lovely words about Fetcham Park and giving some time over to our blog this week. If you would like to know more about Eddie, check out her website and blog or connect with her on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
