Fabulous Food at Fetcham Park
“There is no love sincerer than the love of food.” Or so said playwright George Bernard Shaw. We’re not in complete agreement with the Irish wordsmith on this one but we can certainly say that food at Fetcham Park on a wedding day is something we are completely head-over-heels about.
You see, there is something so special about wedding breakfasts, evening buffets, canapés, nibbles and all the little sweet treats that make up the menu on ‘the big day’. Whether it’s the thought of serving your friends and family something wonderful, the prospect of sharing a meal together, or simply the opportunity to relax and enjoy amazing food on such a special occasion, we’re not completely sure, but what we do know is that everyone who is lucky enough to attend a wedding at Fetcham Park is sure to have their taste buds tickled by our frankly amazing catering partners, at home and Kalm Kitchen.
Both of these talented teams know and love the house and offer a personal, professional and beautifully polished service to our lucky couples and their guests as a matter of course. From the first discussions about the menus for the day to the final drink of the evening, every mouthful is immaculate, memorable and deliciously moreish!
“When I launched Fetcham Park, I knew that our catering partners would be an absolutely crucial part of our success,” says Laura Caudery. “I couldn’t be happier to be working with two such wonderful companies and whilst they’re both different in style, they’re both absolutely fabulous and I’ve never seen anything I didn’t want to sample!”
The formal dinner is always a highlight of any wedding day at Fetcham Park and the Salon and Shell Room provide such beautiful backdrops for a wedding breakfast to remember. Beautifully decorated tables, happy guests with smiling faces, speeches that tug the heartstrings or cause tears of laughter and of course, gorgeous food – these are the things that wedding day memories are made of.
As for our favourite delights, Kalm Kitchen’s signature Patisserie Boutique with the most amazing mini macarons and the sweetest of sweet delights and at home’s stunning canapés certainly get our vote. A triple cooked chip topped with caviar or beetroot meringues with goat’s cheese curd and pain d’epice anyone? Beautifully prepared and presented nibbles to savour as your wander through Fetcham’s grounds or chat with your nearest and dearest over a glass of something suitably celebratory? Yes, we thought so…
Aside from these wonderful caterers, don’t forget to take a look at Couvert Event Hire for beautiful place settings, Creative Candi for the most deliciously tempting sweet buffets we’ve ever seen or if you’re a vintage aficionado, A Cup of Vintage’s hire service might just be perfect for you. But, for now, we’ll leave you with a few of our very favourite photos of food at Fetcham Park. If these don’t make eyes light up like a child in a sweet shop, we don’t know what will…
