PaperFest – The Paper Girls

Sometimes, we’re invited to events and it feels like a real honour to have been asked. We’re talking about the creative, exciting and beautiful events that just fill you with a renewed sense of inspiration and determination to keep striving to be that bit better. Well, we can absolutely say that PaperFest 2013 was all that and much more.

Co-hosted by The Paper Girls’ Abigail Warner & Lucy Ledger, the day brought together thirty-five talented and creative business owners to be inspired and motivated by a stellar line-up of speakers. Fetcham Park’s Laura Caudery was thrilled to be asked to share some thoughts, and present a sneak peek at our beautiful new branding, to this great group of professionals.

The theme of the day was ‘Dream Big’ and with speakers such as wedding plannerMark Niemierko, Kat Williams of Rock n Roll BrideNot On The High Street’s Cat Clark, shoe-designer extraordinaire Rachel Simpson and Pippa and Rachel from Wedding Ideasmagazine joining Laura, it was always destined to be an amazing day.

And, without a doubt, it totally was.

“The attention to detail in the presentation of the event was just fabulous,” says Laura, “from the flowers and decorations to the printed materials and huge ‘Dream Big’ decal behind the speaker’s area; it was such a great space to be in. I don’t think anyone could have failed to be energised just being there!”

Taking the title ‘Think Small To Achieve Big’, Laura’s talk focussed around the fact that ‘details make the dream’, drawing on her experience of applying this to Fetcham Park’s business model with huge success.

“We had the vision to be a venue with a difference and that’s what we’ve done. Everything from Laura Loves down to the candles in the cloakrooms speaks volumes about who we are. All those details don’t go unnoticed.”

“Everything you do builds up, layer upon layer, to create a bigger impression. That’s why we take such care to make sure that everything we’re involved with is the best it can be and everything reflects our ethos. The details really do matter! It was so great to be able to share our journey with everyone at PaperFest and to also give them a little look at our re-brand. I came away from the event feeling fabulous and I know from the feedback I’ve received that everyone who was there felt the same. Thank you so much to Abigail and Lucy for organising such a wonderful day and for inviting me to be a part of it.”
