A heartfelt thanks

“Fetcham Park is, without a doubt, the most beautiful and breath-taking venue I have ever seen. The house itself is spectacular. Its grand staircase, French murals, exquisite chandeliers and intricate gold leaf are enough to make your jaw drop. Beyond its physical beauty is a team of dedicated professionals who provide the greatest level of wedding planning support you could ever hope to have. This level of devotion distinguishes Fetcham Park from other venues. I feel blessed to have found it.” – Anon, married at Fetcham Park, 2014.

Last night, it was announced at The Wedding Industry Awards that Fetcham Park has been crowned the Best Town/City Wedding Venue in the country for 2015.

As you can imagine, tears were shed, champagne was drunk, and much frivolity ensued. But the best was yet to come.

Why? Well, to explain: The Wedding Industry Awards are the only independent awards that are voted for by couples who have actually experienced any given service and, in our case, couples who were married or celebrated with us last year.  To vote, couples were invited to score the service they received out of 10 and comment on their general experience. Only after the awards had been announced were we given access to these anonymous scores and remarks.

So this morning, we sat at our desks and read. And quite honestly, nothing prepared us for the thoroughly beautiful and entirely humbling words that awaited us.

You see, our wonderful, generous couples had touched on so many aspects of our service that we work so incredibly hard to fulfil. From the upkeep of our historic house, to the relationship we have with our Laura Loves suppliers and ultimately with our couples themselves. To know that these things are not only recognised, but are so obviously cherished by the people that really matter is an award in itself, but we can’t deny the icing on the cake is that these remarks did in fact, lead to us being given a shiny new award to display!

So, thank you: to our couples who believed in Fetcham Park and to the team who make it happen. To Anna and Louise, your dedication and professionalism as Wedding Coordinators never ceases to amaze; to Helen, Paul, Chris, Sam, Ben, Tom, you all work so hard to ensure every single person is looked after on a wedding day; and to Sandra L, Donna, Paula and Karen, John & Scott we would be lost without your continued support. To our Laura Loves suppliers and external support network (of which there are too many to thank individually) we know, love and trust you and thank you for everything.

But the biggest thank you of all goes to Laura Caudery.  For making all of this happen, for making a difference, for always challenging the norm and challenging us all to be better whilst never losing sight of what each and every wedding is all about.

Laura, you are a true inspiration and in our eyes, no one deserves this award more than you.

Love, Victoria
